Dr. Hu Wenzhi Three Metal Acupuncture Points- San Jin Xue 【三金穴】

Three matal points are located on the lung meridian above Lu-5. Its is a Dao ma combo includes:

He jin 【合金】Merge metal point: 1 cun above Lu-5.

Fen jin  【分金】Divide metal point (44.01): 1.5 cun above Lu-5.

Nei jin 【内金】Inner metal point: 2 cun above Lu-5.

Needle: 0.5-0.8 cun deep, perpendicular insertion.

Main functions:

Their name incudes the word Jin- Metal, these three points are very effective in regulating and spreading lung qi. They expel wind cold or wind heat.

Indications:

1. Common cold due to wind cold or wind heat with nasal congestion, sore throat, sinusitis.
2. Chest pain, scapular pain.

Major combinations:

1. For cough add three soldiers/ scholars (33.13+ 33.14+ 33.15) and Chong zi (22.01)+ Chong xian (22.02).
2. For allergy with nasal congestion add Mu point (11.17) and Four horses (88.17+ 88.18+ 88.19).
3. For upper back pain add Zhong bai (22.06) and Xia bai (22.07) + Fei xin (11.11).
